The right lens
The display lenses we use are manufactured using newest technologies and high-quality materials to ensure that they fulfil the requirements of daily use under the most demanding conditions.
Whether hardened plastic lenses or extremely robust glass lenses, the respective lenses offer different advantages depending on the product structure and intended use.
Plastic lenses can be integrated in a completely waterproof manner using ultrasonic welding, while glass lenses enable excellent readability and image quality by bonding directly to the display module.
Display module
The TFT, OLED, segment display and paperwhite technologies each offer unique properties that are suitable for a wide range of applications. From high-resolution displays with vibrant colours to energy-efficient, minimalistic variants, everything is possible.
Electronic
To ensure direct and efficient wireless or wired connectivity, we rely on our innovative communication solutions using customised technologies such as CAN FD, LIN, Bluetooth (BT) and ANT+.
The use of high-performance micro-controllers makes it possible to realise a power package in the smallest possible installation space.
Housing
Materials and connection technologies are selected specifically depending on the application. Whether glass fibre reinforced, robust, chemically resistant or exposed to the most adverse outdoor conditions – the right material makes a significant contribution to the success of a display.
Ultrasonic welding, screwing or gluing – material, geometry and application require the right joining technology to realise a high-quality and durable product.

As of a quantity of 100,000 units over the product lifetime, it is definitely worth considering a separate control element.
With a high degree of innovation and complexity, a separate product can also make sense for smaller quantities.

Which standards does CICLO develop to?
To ensure targeted, high-quality development and production, we follow automotive processes that are specially adapted to the target market. These include, for example, guidelines such as VDA 6.3.
Does CICLO also develop control units for other industries?
Yes, we are not only present with our products in the sports sector, but also develop and produce exciting products for other areas.
How long does a realization take until market launch?
As a rule, the period from the idea to production comprises several concept and sample phases as well as planning and setting up production. This takes around 18 – 24 months.
Is it possible for end users to purchase control units directly from CICLO?
No, end users cannot buy control units directly from us. Our customized products are only available through our customers’ sales channels.
